NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety training within the framework of private-public partnership

In the last quarter of 2014 Abiroy delivered a NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety training for 84 local residents (employees of a number of oil and gas operators and service companies) within the framework of a private-public partnership.

Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. paid 80% of the training fees in the execution of the Record of the Committee Meeting No5 of June 20, 2014, and formal applications submitted by the relevant companies. The Committee was set up to select course delegates and sponsor the training in accordance with Section 4.3 of Appendix 7 of the Production Sharing Agreement.

The applicant companies had to pay only 20% of the training cost. This allowed more professionals to be trained to this international and important international health and safety standard.

The project had been completed in cooperation with Subsoil Consulting Company LLP.

There were five groups of 83 delegates in total, who took part in pieces of training delivered in Aktau, Kyzylorda, Aksai and Uralsk from October to December.

Delegates represented, among other, the following companies: N-Operating, KazMunaiTeniz, Baker Hughes, MH Industry, Petro Kazakhstan, Zhaikmunai, Kondensat, Rauan Nalco, Petro-Unit, Weatherford, EcoGeoMunaigas, KIOS, Zhatnai etc.
