10th Anniversary of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating (KPO) Project

This year we celebrate the first large anniversary of training programs aimed at young specialists working at KPO B.V. in Aksay, the Republic of Kazakhstan. Over the past 10 years, since 2007, we helped to train more than 400 specialists, including field operations and technical personnel, people from the Department of Well Operations, as well as technical translators. Many of the graduates have already been promoted to engineering and managerial positions, and they attribute their success mainly to the Abiroy program, which allowed them to become part of the KPO B.V. team.

On October 17, a ceremony dedicated to the 10th anniversary of graduate support programs at KPO B.V. was held in Aksay As part of the event, OPITO certificates were awarded to 2016 graduates who had been training at the enterprise since completing the program, and are now transferring to a permanent contract. This year's graduates, who are just starting their on-the-job training, received the Primary Petroleum Treatment Certificates (PPTC). KPO B.V.'s management addressed the graduates with a congratulatory speech — production director Andrew Wiper; head of the personnel training and development department Oksana Rastorguyeva, as well as heads of other company divisions. KPO B.V.'s management spoke highly of the program's results over the last 10 years, as well as the level of graduates they employ.

The ceremony was attended by Shaun Minty, a representative of the British Academy of Oil and Gas (OPITO). He also congratulated the graduates on the successful completion of the program. According to KPO B.V.'s management, Abiroy programs are really valuable because not only they meet the current needs of the industry, but also focus on its future requirements and enable KPO B.V. to form a pool of hi-po employees who will very soon be the main driving force behind its development and stability.
